What are your hours of operation? The Spa is open Monday - Thursday from 9 a.m. to 7 p.m., Friday 9 a.m. - 5 p.m. and Saturday from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. The Gym is open Monday - Thursday from 8 a.m. to 7 p.m, Friday 8 a.m. - 5 p.m. and Saturday from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Ask, ask, ask. Your first step should always be to call the spa and ask them all your questions before you arrive. Professional Spa operators will be anxious to answer any questions you may have and put you at ease. Should I make an appointment? Reservations are preferred. Please call (318)352-2250 to schedule your appointment as soon as possible. Some days the spa is very busy and may not be able to accommodate you unless you call in advance. What should I know about the services? We provide a menu of the services we offer that will describe each treatment and its therapeutic value in detail. Becoming familiar with the service you are having performed will make you more comfortable. Who can help me choose my treatments? The person who books your services can help you decide on the type of treatments that are appropriate for you. You may also discuss this with the therapist that performs your service. Are there any age requirements ? A guest not accompanied by a parent must be 18 years old of age or older to receive spa signature services and body treatments. A guest accompanied by a parent must be at least 13 years old. To create an atmosphere conducive to relaxation, we don't allow children in the quiet areas. Please arrive at the Spa 30 minutes before your first appointment. This time is needed to prepare you for your service and allow the maximum time for your treatment. We will never compromise your modesty. Most often, you will be given a robe to change into before your treatment. Under the robe is up to you. We offer disposable underwear if you desire. Therapists will only expose the portion of your body that is being treated at the time. If your treatment involves water therapy, steam room or sauna, a swimsuit is appropriate. Please remove all jewelry prior to your service. Lockers are provided to secure your personal valuables. The Spa is not responsible for any lost or stolen belongings. What about the sex of my therapist? At the time of booking, express whether you prefer a male or female therapist. We would honor your preference if available. Should I tell my therapist if I'm dissatisfied with the service? Tell your therapist what you are thinking. If your therapist's touch is too tough or too light, mention it. The therapists are there for you and their goal is to provide you with the best spa experience. Do I have to talk during my treatment? There is not pressure to talk during a treatment. It's entirely up to you. If you have questions and would like to talk during the session, certainly do so. The staff takes their cues from you. If you are quiet they will be too. What about injuries or physical condition? If you have a particular injury or physical condition, explain it to the therapist. They can suggest the appropriate adjustments or enhancements to treatments. Pregnant women and individuals with hypertension, cardiac diseases, varicose veins, or who are insulin dependent should avoid all heat treatments; certain massage therapies and the use of infrared sauna or steam room. You may require a clearance from your Physician before receiving some treatments. Should men shave before a facial? Shaving is not necessary but it is recommended. If you choose to shave prior to your facial, be sure to do it at least 2 hours prior to your scheduled appointment.
